Ashley is a licensed psychotherapist and grief counselor in private practice in Epping, New Hampshire.   She is also a writer and the author of several self-help books: Transcending Loss and Claim Your Inner Grown-up.  Her work focuses on coping with losses, searching for meaning, maximizing one’s potential, finding inner peace, and navigating transitions.   Ashley shares her thoughts on her own experiences in her weekly blog “Transitions….where endings meet beginnings.” Currently she is working on a book entitled “Shortcuts to Inner Peace: 50 Quickies for Frazzled Folks.”

Ashley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Smith College and a Masters in Social Work degree from Columbia University.  She worked in community mental health in New York City for ten years and has been living and working in southern New Hampshire since 1997.

Ashley is a frequent public speaker and workshop teacher.  Since 1992, she has delivered keynote speeches to professional and community organizations across the country and has taught workshops on the subjects of grief and loss, parenting, personal empowerment, Buddhism, divorce, transitions, stress management and inner peace.

Ashley and her husband, Dan, have a blended family of five children and five pets!

Ashley is also a classically trained soprano and regularly performs with local choral groups and community theatres.  She currently sings with JourneySong, a group dedicated to sharing music with hospice patients and nursing home residents.

TLC is owned and managed by Ashley and her husband Dan.  This website was created by TLC as a resource to Ashley’s clients and readers and to any other individuals facing one of life’s challenging transitions.

TLC’s Mission:   The mission of TLC is to reach out to people who are suffering emotional pain from loss and major life transitions and to offer them support and guidance as a means of facilitating their emotional and spiritual growth.  To achieve this mission, we provide therapeutic services, workshops and seminars, on-line support and written materials designed to stimulate healing.
