Shortcuts to Inner Peace are the building blocks of a simple system for hitting the pause button in life: linking fast, easy, restorative pauses to ordinary daily activities and experiences. We all want inner peace in our lives. Yet, we often think that we need to change our circumstances in order to feel peaceful. Or we simply don’t have the time or inclination for lengthy meditations. Let’s face it – we live in a stressful, multi-tasking, overstimulating society. Most of us on a daily basis juggle the competing demands of work, kids, household duties, and a personal life. It can be a challenge to stay calm when everything around us conspires to maintain the frenzy.Shortcuts to Inner Peace are simple ways to pause, create stillness and redirect to one of the ‘portals’ to inner peace:
calm the body, quiet the mind
open the heart, focus the senses
awaken to spirit
Shortcuts to Inner Peace are healthy habits that anyone can integrate into their day because they link to ordinary daily activities (such as washing hands, brushing teeth and standing in line) and experiences (such as saying hello, commenting on the weather and feeling stressed or negative).
Best yet, once we begin to integrate Shortcuts into our day we find that they happen automatically. The activity or experience (washing our hands or feeling stressed) begins to ‘trigger’ the restorative pause … without even thinking about it, moments of inner peacefulness simply happen.
Click on one of the daily ’triggers’ below to find a restorative tool:
When you transition between daily events and when you simply need a pause
Taking a first sip from a beverage
Find yourself using negative language or thoughts

I’ll look forward to your monthly news letter.
Claiming Your Inner Adult is my nightly bedside reading. It is great and some changes I’ve made do to your wise words, have already impacted my life.
It is as if I have a daily conversation with you.
After reading your thoughts on the marriage commitment, my heart went out to you. Having a divorce must have been very hard. Two of our daughters have been divorced and I know something of the disappointment and loss. From a mother’s point of view it is devastating. Thanks for being you. Kiki
